Make text in AI images easier to check and finish

Decide the exact wording before styling the scene. A readable headline is a useful draft; final artwork still needs a spelling and layout review.

Write the final words outside the image first

Create a text sheet with the headline, subheading and required details exactly as they should appear. Resolve capitalisation, punctuation and language before generating. If the image needs a date or price, obtain the confirmed value rather than asking the model to invent it.

Separate must-read information from decorative lettering. A poster can use one short heading and a quiet background without making the model handle an entire page of small type. Keep lengthy terms, addresses and legally required copy in an editable text layer.

Prompt the layout as well as the words

Original poster brief: “A simple portrait poster for a community market. Exact headline: WEEKEND MARKET. Place it in a large, high-contrast area at the top with clear spacing between words. Below it, a restrained illustration of vegetables in a paper bag. No other text, logos or watermarks added as visible decoration.”

For a multilingual poster, provide the approved wording for each language separately. Describe which line is most important and where open space belongs. A request to add no decorative watermark does not remove a provider’s provenance marker or establish the downloaded file’s metadata.

Proofread character by character

Compare the generated words to the text sheet. Check missing letters, repeated strokes, punctuation, accents, line order and spacing. Read the image at the size the audience will see, then inspect the original file for malformed characters.

If a short headline is wrong, request one targeted correction while preserving the rest of the composition. If the text keeps changing, switch to generating a clean background and add verified typography yourself. Repeating the same vague request is not a substitute for proofreading.

Finish important typography in an editable layer

Place the accepted image in a design tool and add the exact text using a font you are allowed to use. Align margins, test contrast and check whether the smallest text remains legible at the final crop. Export a review file before making the final deliverable.

Keep both the image and the editable typography source. This makes later date, price or translation changes possible without regenerating the whole scene. The Nano Banana prompt library can help prepare the image brief; final text accuracy comes from the review and finishing process.

Questions before you start

Does quoting exact text guarantee correct spelling?

No. It makes the request clearer, but the actual output still needs a character-by-character check.

When should I add text manually?

Use an editable layer for exact prices, dates, long copy, accessibility-critical information or lettering that has failed repeated generation review.
